This is a short story about depression, self-contradiction, and finding balance for rational and inner darkness. I’ve always had a curiosity in psychology, how it helps people cure and know themselves better, and accept their true selves. So I created this story of a girl with her dog in a world where everyone’s true self is shaped in the form of a dog, and how they learn to live together and understand each other by facing the outside world.I created this story as a reflection of my experiences and my memoir of dealing with depression. Somehow, I overcame my decade of depression without any help, I guess the change of culture, environment, and mentality really helped me to escape from my life pressure. This metaphor describes a state of depression characterized by sadness or lack of will, including the loss of desire to partake in activities you once loved. This metaphor can be helpful for adults and children living with depression and those with loved ones experiencing symptoms. The image of a large, intrusive black dog may more clearly identify the often difficult-to-see aspects of depression.
